The AMAZING

I cried. This poetry collection is stunning, emotive, moving, personal, piercing, brutally honest, heartfelt, uplifting, and reflective. I have so many words to describe this but the aforementioned will have to do. love, and you is a symphony of emotions, colliding with each other on every page. The following is one of my favourites:

loving you was

one of the

g r e a t e s t

experiences

of my life

because i finally

learned how to

love myself

when

you

didn’t

know

how

to

(p.7)

Why did I read it?

Did I already mention that I love poetry? Well, I especially love dark poetry. That is my vibe.

Does the author have other works?

According to Gretchen Gomez’s Goodreads profile, there are other poetry collections in the making.

Overall…

If you’ve ever known strong romantic love, and/or strong platonic love, and/or low self-esteem, you will most likely identify with these poems. Personally, I connected to Gretchen Gomez’ collection and I will definitely hold her work close to my heart. I can only hope there is more to come.
